Hello friend, I’m Charity Turner. I am a photographer, nature lover, and Carolina native. I founded True North Photography because I was tired of seeing photography that felt rushed, stiff, and unnatural.
Life doesn’t happen inside sterile studio boxes with harsh flash and artificial backgrounds. Life happens when the wind picks up across an open field, when your toddler trips and dissolves into giggles, or when you lean into your partner’s shoulder as the sun sinks below the tree line.

Natural Light Only
We schedule sessions during the gentle hour before sunset. Golden hour creates a natural, flattering warmth that no artificial flash can recreate.
Space to Wander & Play
Kids aren’t meant to sit motionless. We walk trails, pick flowers, and explore scenic open ground. Movement creates true joy and natural posture.
Signature Earthy Editing
Every single photograph is individually hand-edited with our signature warm, organic color palette—deep forest greens, warm sand, and soft ivory.

After you inquire, we’ll align on dates and I’ll send you my curated wardrobe guide with color recommendations that photograph beautifully against North Carolina greenery.
The Session Afternoon
We meet at our chosen outdoor spot. No stress, no timer counting down the seconds. We talk, laugh, take a walk, and capture the natural cadence of your story.
Your Private Gallery
Within 2 to 3 weeks, you receive a private, high-resolution digital gallery. You can download every photo in full resolution with full personal print rights included.
